About 7.5 miles up Waterton Canyon ... a place that has inspired several of my homebrews.
I've been homebrewing quite awhile now, and in 2013, I placed a geocache to celebrate my favorite hobby: My Home Brewery.
One of my other favorite hobbies is mountain biking. The first place I mountain biked after moving to Colorado was up Waterton Canyon and up the Colorado Trail, over towards Roxboro and then back down to the Canyon. I still think the view from the single track looking West is one of the most spectacular I've seen since moving to Colorado.
This ride ... and this view has actually inspired several of my beer recipes (including a couple of award-winners). I always thought it that if I did a "My Home Brewery II", it would be up here.
Finally, I prepared a cache and placed it up along my bike route.
The container is a White Labs Yeast Vial covered in camo duct tape. It used to hold San Diego Super Yeast, although now you can't tell as the label is covered up. It is a little bit bigger than I typically think of a micro, but it isn't quite big enough to what I consider a small.
When I placed it, I covered it with pine cones to help conseal it. Please let me know when you log this if the pinecones are still there.

To get to this spot, park in the Waterton Canyon parking lot and bike up the trail. The first 6.5 miles is pretty easy. The last mile or so is not.
Either bike up the single-track Colorado Trail, or leave your bike and hike it.
Take a left when you get to the "Indian Creek Trail". The cache is hidden a little off-trail. Make sure you take time to enjoy the views.
I included a little cash in the cache as a FTF prize. Congrats to cajrrman for winning the FTF and claiming the cash.
Good luck.
