I managed to pick this one up on the outbound leg of what I’ll call overnight Sentinel Loop+, taking the free / hard way. I’ve never been here before, so I appreciate the nice caches along the route to serve as my motivation. I tried to come at this one from the spur descending near GC1561D View from my cabin, but the terrain “no, no.” After constantly being channelized, I finally got on the Pancake trail near GCWH2D Knock-off #16, Pancakes Rocks-redeployed and hiked back to this one. After finding this one and getting back on the trail, I met a family who just arrived. The Dad asked me what I thought about the pancake rocks. We all had a laugh when I said I don’t know, I just finished a two day hike and was looking forward to going that way (pointing to the trailhead). Thanks to the CO for placing this nice cche for everyone to find, TFTC.

Ok, I missed my full stack, wasn’t watching the receiver until I was past the Full Stack so decided to continue on (figured to go on and worry about a full stack on the trip back to Hobune). The uphill was tiring and the downhill nice (until the return trip at downhill won’t be so nice since it’ll be up). The hide took a few moments to find, bounce I’m guessing. Once found had to love it! Something else I loved was the Giants/God’s seats overlooking the valley behind! Appreciate the placement.

I was within 1/2 mile of the cache last year as I descended from Sentinel Point When I found the Ring the Peak Trail. I was too dog tired to walk the fairly flat terrain to find this one. Today, I once again ascended the trail from the suggested parking area and hiked in to Pancake Rocks. After finding the cache I sat down and enjoyed the magnificent view from this location. It was just me and one other hiker on the trail at 7:00AM. On my way down I passed many folks just starting their hike. Once I made my descent I found the trail head parking area full (both side of the road). My GPS registered 6.5 miles for this cache. TFTC.
