Located near the top of Hahns Peak at an altitude of 10,500 feet.
This cache is located near the top of 10,500 foot high Hahns Peak in beautiful Routt County Coorado. The cache was originally located in Pearl Lake State Park, but was moved here because the state doesn't want caches in its' parks. The cache originally contained the following -

55Connie and I are celebrating our 36th anniversary today, so we had to do something memorable. We decided to hike to the top of Hahns Peak. As we drove towards the trailhead we could see the peak was covered with snow. We decided to try to at least get "Hahns Peak Cache" (GCGBBG). We encountered hikers returning from the summit and were advised we could reach the summit if we were careful. We had a bit of trouble locating the cache here as I forgot the clue and thought I was looking for a small container (and the cache was buried in the snow from this last snow storm). Great hide in a great location. TFTC.

We are caching in the area and wanted to get this cache and the other one on the Peak.
Thanks so much for keeping this one active and maintained. We enjoyed this cache and the hike to get to it. The last time we hiked here was before geocaching. The cache is in good shape. We noticed a fire to the north that seemed like it was waning. TFTC.

Up here camping for the weekend, but we never drove over this way. So I got up early Sunday morning and hiked you to this cache. Enjoyed the views on my hike. Just as I got to GZ the clouds and rain rolled in, so I could not continue up higher up the hill. Thanks for keeping this older cache going.
