Cool container! Might want to consider waterproofing it though.

Doing some caching in Poudre Canyon this morning and stopped to make the short hike to this location. When I arrived at GZ I was concerned that I might not find it because there was a fair amount of snow on the ground. But the coordinates were good and I was able to make a quick find of the cache. Some things definitely aren't what they appear to be! Thanks JPKvictory2011!!!

I’ve had recent surgeries that have precluded my logging some caches I found earlier this summer/early autumn. This “down time” from the surgeries was preceded by a month-long trip when I was also unable to do any cache logging. So I’m beginning a major “catch-up” mode of reporting finds now, and I’m finally able to deal with some caches that were found earlier but were never recorded by me on their cache pages. In each case, I signed the field cache log sheet at the time of my actual find, in this instance in the STF position, after making the interesting hike up the brushy draw with my puppy Orizaba. I’m pleased to finally log this as a Found it! Thanks, JPKvictory2011, for this cache.

We were headed out to Red Feather Lakes today and decided to take the southern route to get there so we could attempt to find this new cache. Hoorah. We found the cache and signed in the first position.
I was puzzled at first about the wording of the hint, "Some things aren't always what they appear, Keep it low." I re-calibrated my Garmin unit and stepped over to GZ only a step or two away. I looked down and saw a bright orange colored snake. This one was a bit longer than the other plastic snakes I have seen caches hidden in. After a moment of deliberation, I grabbed a stick nearby and touched the snake to see if it would move. It did. I stepped back and thought this is probably not what the COs meant in their hint. After a couple of moments the snake sidled away into the brush. The snake appears to be a Central Plains Milk Snake, (Lampropeltis triangulum gentilis)
I started to search on the other side of the trail and located the container low to the ground under some obscuring objects. Nice cache, especially for being your first cache. Nice job.
