Needs maintenance

This is a kid friendly cache started with several small toys. It is in a small plastic bottle with a log and a pen.
This cache is close to a parking area and pavillion. I was able to take my two year old son to the location and he helped place the cache. The area does not have a bathroom or water. It is a good area for a lunch or camping.

I was hoping to find this "lonely" cache (not found in over a year) but it was not to be. I made it to the hiding spot easily, and even found the rock that was used to hold the plastic pill bottle in place, but -- no cache. Thinking it might have been subjected to a critter, I looked all over the ground in the immediate area, but all I found was an aluminum can with several bullet holes in it. That made me think -- where would a target shooter put the can? Possibly in the split of the tree, which is where the cache was. Dang. A couple of photos are attached.

I was first here in April to look for this cache and couldn't find it and thought that I would look again since I was back in the area. Still couldn't find it and am convinced that it is gone. No smiley face for me.

It's the first day of Spring, and after logging cache #3500 at Tarryall (GC18) we continued to enjoy the gorgeous weather and a lot of fun caches. SL TFTC
