We headed out on a short caching adventure to clean up a few caches in Boulder, Niwot and Longmont. We were also doing some CITO'ing for an up coming BriGuy Cito event just in case it gets cancelled. Cache in good shape. SL,TFTC

DaWife and I enjoyied the drive thru Left Hand Canyon on our way home from the leaf viewing, so when we got to this intersection and saw some caches along this road we thought why not, we got time for a few more. I was surprised by how busy this road was and how fast they all wanted to go and how they like to follow so close. Found a pull over a few hundred feet down from the cache and jumped into the ditch and after a few mintues of polking around had this tricky cache in hand. TFTC.

Glad we are doing this on a weekend as this road is under construction. Enjoying the caching and getting in some leaf peeping. The colors are beautiful. SL. TFTC.

Interesting coloration almost caused us to miss this one. Not sure we've seen one exactly like this before. Good thing we had the hint!

The coordinates seemed pretty good for this hide. Found it and signed the log.

This was one of my toughest, scariest, and most frustrating geocaching days so far. I started by spilling my coffee on my work shirt, then driving about 3 miles past the first geocache in the mountains. Wandered around till I found my way back. Then an Audi (I already have a distaste for them) was on my rear bumper when I came around a sharp corner to find a deer in the middle of the 2 lane road. I slammed on my brakes. The Audi barely missed me, swerved into oncoming traffic and nearly hit an oncoming car. He fishtailed and took off. I pulled over at the next pull off to calm down. Then I got in over my head climbing a rock wall (solo, no ropes and I'm not a climber). Finally got down after I was drenched in Adrenalin based sweat. Then a 20 minute search for a different cache without luck. I ended the evening at 9:30 pm with 14 finds.
Hmmm, an FTF claim on this one, but no signature or evidence to prove the find? Weird. Hint directed me to the container and the blank log. Stamped my name and returned the cache. TFTC!
