Recently got into Geocaching, and have been hiking the Colorado Trail with a friend of mine. Took my first back country camping trip, and decided this would be the best time for me to drop my first cache.
Dropped this cache in the morning before starting my second half of Segment 4, just outside of the Lost Creek Wilderness, where there is a beautiful meadow, a flowing creek, and some great camp sites.
Went wandering and found a cool little site that seems to be some sort of abandoned/ruined logging cabin with a stone base. It's in between a few different trails, and easily accessible if you leave Segment 4.
DO NOT try to leave the path while still in Lost Creek Wilderness/on the Colorado Trail, as you probably won't be able to cross the creek easily. Follow the various paths and trails nearby and it'll be easy to locate the ruins.
