Out caching today while at the Breckenridge Peak 8 Resort for a mini-vacation during off season (between leaf-peeping & ski). Had a sunny, cool, day while getting out to hike in the hills.
Parked at the obvious (nearest?) trailhead off Ski Hill Rd and walk into the woods. When I checked the GPS it indicated a 90° right turn to get to the cache. No apparent trail to GZ so it was bushwhack time. Not too bad since it was downhill. Got to within 100 ft. and - voila! - a trail. Quick find of the container and off I go following the trail back, only to find some bear tracks in the snow. Shouting, "Hey, bear," and making noise I made it to the road. The trailhead is about 250 yards down the hill from where I parked.
Third of four finds today. TNLNSL, TFTC

We rode the gondola up only to find it was on the the "wrong" side of a creek. With the high water we were lucky to get across and not sprain an ankle. Spent an hour trying to get there only to find that it was nowhere to be found. They put it on the ground somewhere and the snow melt probably carried it away.....
