The original Cache!!
View north of Chalk Cliffs from near cache.
View north of Chalk Cliffs from parking area..
View south of Colo Trail at Chalk Creek bridge.

Moderate, but fairly short hike for the average hiker. Good views, camping nearby.
From just south of Nathrop, CO, on US 285, take Chalk Creek Road west to Mt. Princeton Hot Springs. Continue west. Look for second intersection of this Chalk Creek Road and CR 291. Parking lot and trail head now in sight.Hike south on Colorado Trail across Chalk Creek bridge and to established campsite. From there follow GPS to Cache. Use stealth if other campers present. Lots of kid stuff and 'fun things' in this one. See photos.

We enjoyed this little hike to the cache. After we crossed the bridge we stayed close to the water's edge initially and came across a campground for the trail hikers. We tried to be quiet and walked around quickly to not disturb any sleepers. The container was easy to find. Use your caching senses. We did not see the listed TB in here. Thanks for placing a cache here. Beautiful spot!

Thanks for bringing us to this lovely spot and to the Co trail. Interesting that you placed it this far off the trail. This is our idea of how geocaches should be!
