Access or parking fee  Scenic view  Dangerous Animals  Cliff / falling rocks  Parking available  Picnic tables nearby

Take a short walk and marvel at the beauty.

-You will need a State Parks pass-

This is one of my family's favorite spots. Enjoy the view of Fishers Peak and our beautiful reservoir. If you look south there once was a small town named Sopris along with four other small communities that would now be under water. This entire area is rich with history from the Jurassic period through the settling of the west and beyond.

Find the stairs and you will be close. Watch out for rattle snakes, they love the Rocks and they can fit in Small Spaces. You are looking for a container a little bigger than a film canister. Don't come looking for this at night because it is hard enough to find with light.

We hope you enjoyed Team Nye's first hide, there shall be many more to find.

Today, Smithj9 and I left the Colorado Springs area and cached our way down towards Trinidad. We saw and learned a lot about the areas we visited today. Thanks for placing and maintaining these caches for us to enjoy while visiting from Florida.

Acachingcat and I came to the area from Florida. We had an absolutely blast. We added 7 new states to our states. We saw so many things and learned so much history in all the areas we visited. We climbed mountains, saw flat land with cows and corn, saw elk, moose, marmot, deer, prong horn, sheep, goats and many small animals. We enjoyed all the tall mountains we drove through even though breathing was a bit taxing for us flat landers. I appreciate all the CO's placing these for us to find and keeping us so entertained.
