For those of you who don't know, the infamous local cacher RPieperCO has a deep secret love for football. It's so secret that we're not even sure if he knows about it.

His favorite football player is a former NFL running back named Billy Sims. Now Billy only played professional football for five years and, though he was the first draft pick in 1980, he had the misfortune of playing for the Detroit Lions. Injuries shortened his career, but Billy continued to make a name for himself after he hung up his pads.

This cache is placed near an establishment that honors Mr. Sims. The employees of said "shrine" are aware that there's a geocache here but they don't know its exact location. The difficulty and terrain ratings may be high for some of you, but for others it should be just right.

Good luck!

Upped the difficulty to 2.5 after some feedback from herndonrd.

Road trip with FeartheFish to CS to get some puzzles that I had solved and other things we ran across. So after I almost passed out getting to and from Patton, and our other little excursion, we came here for lunch. After lunch I walked around back and made the find. I also explained to the CO why he should probably push up the rating a little bit. TFTC!

Searched for a while savoring smell of BBQ but had to give up on the cache after a long time looking all over that wall.

This one popped up just as I was heading out from work to home. It is along one of my many routes to get from point (W) to point (H). Got on site to find Squirts Explorer and Qaz already there. I can't claim any partial FTF, but did enjoy the social meeting while being appropriately distant. It was also nice to meet RPieperCO as I have been hunting a few of his caches lately and some even reside a half block away in my neighborhood. And of course, the BBQ smelled so good, I picked some for dinner that night, which made Mama happy. I do belief that this is the BBQ in county if not the state. For me it beats anything local or the popular chains.

Woo Hoo!!! {FTF}!! The good old FTF Rangers back in action! Squirts Explorer, Qaz and CachingCrewCO were already on scene and kindly waited for me to arrive. Within a few minutes we had the cache in hand and they allowed me to sign the top line! All the while the smell was amazing! Couldn't wait to get my order in but I haven't seen these guys in awhile and it was fun to catch up! Kerewin0430 showed up a few minutes after and it was awesome to chat with the whole group again! Miss these FTF parties! If you can't have an event, might as well have a FTF meetup!

So a little back story, I actually haven't tried this place, but recommended it to FearTheFish to try. He was so impressed that he left a cache for me to encourage me to actually come and TRY it! Man!!! That is some good BBQ! I had the Pork and Brisket and I have to say, this is my new favorite brisket! The pork was excellent too, but that brisket!!! Needless to say, this is a highly recommended stop for any hungry cacher!

The hide, while not the worst I've seen did take a rather long time to find. There are only about a million and 1 potential hiding spots. Well done! I liked the container too! Rock on!!

Thanks for placing this with me in mind! I'm humbled and appreciative!

Saw this one publish right as I was logging out of work, My little Padawan got excited and she put on her shoes to go find a cache. We headed out the door and started messaging the lucky guy for whom this cache is dedicated. I was first on site and started looking. Oh man, this geocache is in the best area because while you are looking for you you get to smell wonderful BBQ cooking near you. Squirtsexplorer and CachingCrewCO showed up as well. Rick then got to the GZ and made the official first find! We all signed the log and then got to do the {FTF} chat. Fun times! Kerewin0430 even showed up while we chatted away! It's so great to see friends I haven't seen in a long time.

- All I am saying is, at any point during the ride through the desert. He could have given the horse a name.

As is my usual these days, I arrived just a bit too late - but was quite pleased to see some of the FTF crew who stuck around to chat. Thanks for placing this cache - this place smells amazing!
