In 2011 two friends persuaded me to try Geocaching, a hobby they both liked a lot.

I created my account EJBHGV (EJB my initials and HGV for my hometown Hoogeveen).

On November 6th I found my first geocache in Hoogeveen, the Netherlands.

I never expected it would be this addictive and so much fun.

 

In 2015 I moved from Hoogeveen to Morrison in Colorado.

Now, in June 2019, I found my 10,000th geocache (Tarryall Spillways).

I hope many more will follow.

 

In celebration of the 10K finds, I place this geocache for all to find.

The cache is placed at the edge of a friend’s property.

He knows it is here and was present when I placed it.

 

The cache could be harder to find with snow on the ground.

I came out this way to hide a couple new caches and after doing so headed out this way to find some. I made the find hare at 11:00 am. Thanks for the cache!

1:19pm My 3rd FTF! I saw this pop up this morning but knew I couldn’t get to it till later. My cell service was iffy here, but was in the 2nd place I looked! WARNING: some ants were starting to check it out.
One of the prettiest drives around. Always a bonus when you get to see the Yaks nearby.
