Ammo box in the woods.
This geocache was placed in an area where my kids first learned to climb rocks and explore nature. Twenty years ago, I lived on White House Trail (WHT) and my kids were very young (1 yrs old and 4 months old). We lived up the street and often took our stroller down to the park in the evening and watched sunsets. As the kids got older, we would come here with friends and neighbors who had small children and have picnics or outdoor play sessions, letting the kids scramble about. This went on for years, even after moving away, as we still had friends on WHT. The last big blast for us was Easter, about 5 or 6 years ago when we (and 2 or 3 other families) staged an Air Soft battle royale in the ravine below this area.
Parking is on WHT. You can access the park via the large driveway. Head in the direction of the waypoint provided. Leave the driveway at the big bend, heading south. The first part of the driveway is historic hiker access and is open to the public.
For whom does Bell Park toll? For anyone who wants to get out, walk about and see the beauty of the mountain parks of Evergreen!
