Dogs  Significant hike  Not Available during winter  Abandoned mines  Not Wheelchair accessible  Horses  Abandoned Structure  Short hike (less than 1km)

Takes a little work the 4 overall is because the GPS was bouncing due to the trees and the elevation change
I don't know any history on this spot but I am sure there is some out there. If you know any please share. This cache is at what used to be a main mine shaft. It is a .5 mile hike with 400 ft change in elevation from the parking @ 38 02.647 105 07.950. You used to be able to drive it but the road has now been made impassable for vehicles. If you continue up from the location of the cache there are some verticle shafts so please be careful also there are the old loading docks ect. It is a neat place. Enjoy the cache!!

Starting swag; For the FTF a choice between travel bug dog tags, Kyle Orton Rookie card signed (authentic), America Ty Bear, Millenium Ty Bear, couple rain ponchos(not that you will need them this year) and a water bottle carrying pouch.

Nice hike up the road to this one. This one hasn't been found in over a year. We found it in great shape but about 20 ft to the east of the GZ.There wsa about 4" of snow in spots. Olive played in the small stream after we hiked down.[8d][8d] SL TFTC TNLN

It was quite a hike to the cache site for me. I found the cache within 5 minutes, it appears to be in the spot as the hint suggested although, I expanded my search a little to find it. The cache is in good shape. I took the pair of binoculars and left toys and a rotary pin. Thanks for bringing me here! Favorite point! SL #1816
