Takes less than an hour  Available at all times  Dangerous Animals  Abandoned mines  Cliff / falling rocks  Dangerous area  Bicycles  Motorcycles  Quads  Off-road vehicles  Horses  Thorns

This cache is on the road up to one of my favorite little spots.  I was on my way up with Spice Weasel to show bogusdata and the lovely and wonderful AmandineFromFrance, and I noticed that some folks had decided that the GZ here made for a good shooting spot, and I had to agree with them, so I dropped off a special container that I happened to have.  :)

The turnoff for the road is around mile marker 232 of US Highway 50. The cache is placed in a rock outcropping that you'll be able to see if you go up to the first fork in the road, turn around, and look to the left of the road.  There are a couple ways of accessing the cache, but since the rocks and dirt are shifty on the far side and most everything you'd fall into is kind of sharp, I recommend climbing up and walking down.

PLEASE be careful finding this one, some of the rock is loose, there are plenty of thorns and such, and it is officially snake season.  I was actually climbing down after getting the coordinates and had my hand hold break out on me and I managed two small scrapes on my arm (no serious harm done though).

Be aware too that the trail up to the end of the road (to the left) requires at least some off-road capability if you decide to go on up, but the cache here should be accessible to most vehicles.

All that said though, good luck, and happy caching!

Congratulations to redbeard4570 for being FTF!

Me and a buddy out for a hike and saw this marker on our map. Followed the description and definitely thought we could tell where it was. Lots of climbing and bullet hole searching to no avail. Recommend the hider check in and make sure it's there. Thanks for the hunt
