Rocky terrain along the road to Lost Lake.
You may feel like you are going towards the middle of nowhere, and you are correct! You will come across a few campers and fishermen/fisherwomen along the way, so don't forget the right-of-way rules you learned in drivers-ed ha-ha. It is a good enough road that you don't need to worry about what type of vehicle you are in. There is a nice little, easily accessible turn out, but when you get there, don't forget your mountain goating shoes that come with the entrance to Colorado, or requirements of being a Colorado native. Have fun, and be safe. The young ones should have a good time scrambling about the rocks, but don't be afraid if there is a liitle bit of experience under your belt (the nice way of saying a few years behind you).

Decided to take a drive up Cherokee Park....and saw that there were a few caches along the way.
I logged a DNF on this cache back in 2015....but found it this time!!

After logging a couple lonely caches in the area (one three years lonely and one five years lonely) I made the drive over to this cache. It was in the "51st" minute of the 40 degree latitude and that's one I need for a challenge I'm working on. And it had a nice D/T combo so I had to go for it. I found the container placed by Pixelmagic and signed the log. Thanks faroutfarms!!!

How cool. We found lost. We scoured the area and confirmed the missing status. We replaced the container and log and sandwiched it close to ground zero. Nice spot. We feel the need to keep these nice caches in play. Thanks for the cache.

No joy. Lots of foresty work going on in the area. The five of us spent about a half an hour here looking for it but weren't able to find it. Oh well.

Out for some Valentine's Day jeeping and caching with Mountain Roamer and Team Laxson. Looked for awhile but came up empty handed...maybe next time...
