Gleneagle Golfing #4 located to highlight the long tee and driving distance for hole #13.
9/20/2017 Added note: The golf course was closed and is being built up with houses so the golf course theme is just a memory. This cache was up off the ground but the holder was cut down so check on the ground where the post used to be. This cache may disappear as construction progresses. I will keep watch and archive when gone.

Its been a while since I started this series but required maintenance on #3 got me in the process so decided to place #4. This series of caches highlights my community of Gleneagle. The focal highlight of Gleneagle is the golf course which was built around 1972 and started the Gleneagle development as a “Planned Country Club Community.” I have located spots to place caches that work good to showcase views of various spots on the course perimeter accessible from main roads. This fourth in my series takes you to an overlook for tee shots on hole 13 which is a dogleg left par 5. The length from the Gold Tee to the green is 560 yds. The approach to the green is protected by a pond and is blind because of the slope away from the fairway. If you play golf besides doing geocaching this would be a challenging hole to play. The Cache is hidden in black pill container with a magnet to stay in place. The location is a busy corner so will require some stealth to avoid muggles. A nice souvenir ball mark repair tool awaits the first to find. For most this should be another quick cache and dash to avoid too much suspicion. More in this series to come as I spot nice hiding spots.

Such a cute cache! Don't know what I like better: the outer container or the striped bison tube (never seen one like that before). Either way, I think you deserve a favorite point for the cuteness factor. SL. TFTH

Here from Yorktown VA on business and some geocaching in the spare time.
Took a bit to find this cache. Even had a medium-size snake to try to scare us away.
But we kept on looking and shifted our look about eye level and wham!! There it was!
Cache container and log in great shape. TFTC and making geocaching in Colorado a most excellent time! Smile
