Another cache in beautiful Williams Canyon - come for the hike and cache along the way!
The cache is an ammo box hide about 2 miles from the bottom entrance to the canyon. If I remember right, it is about halfway to the top (2 quarters). There is no need to climb to find the cache. It is almost level with the trail elevation.

Congrats to hartsdale for FTF!!!!

First time in Williams canyon for both Lemonheadmafia and I. This was such a beautiful hike! Cache is in good shape. Someone put pipe tabacco in the cache. I wasn't sure about leaving it in there but I really didn't want to have that in my pack either. Sl, thanks!

This was our last find of the morning. Made the quick find and signed the log. Discovered the trackable inside the log. Thanks for the cache.

what a gorgeous january day for a hike. i wish i could've done this hike before the fire and the flood. discovered the geocoin left for all to see. tnlnsl. :) all is well with the cache. :) the last cacher did a nice job of concealing it. too bad we didn't bring a pipe! someone left some smoking tabacco in there. :) we saw more than 5 hiking couples on this trail today. it's time to reopen this trail officially.

The last cacher indicated that this cache survived the fire just fine, so I am enabling it. Cool!

Hi - This one's safe and sound, and solid as a rock! No problems in the time gone by... In fact I have a picture I'll post later of a little stick match I took out of a box of same I found in the a/c : struck it on the side of the box & it fired up in one try! A bit ironic, I'm sure, given the reason for the lengthy find interval, but it was starting to rain lightly with plenty of accompanying thunder.
Most odd is that the box was just laying on the open ground - pretty close to a box-shaped pocket just like what's described in the hint. And where it will be safe another 5 if need be BigSmile

Williams Canyon was burned in the still burning Waldo Canyon fire, so this cache may be burnt. At the very least the canyon in is inaccessible at this time, so I'm disabling for now. Hope to replace or fix when the canyon is reopened.

Sunny and warm, great day for 3 Williams Kidz to go hiking up Williams Canyon for the first time !
Found this one today, and discovered the coin that is supposed to stay in the cache -- and yep, it is still in the cache. SL, and were on our way. TFTC !
