Translated: A Puzzle for 2LabLovers, AKA Picasso Primer

This geocache has been placed in honor of two geocachers who truly support the geocaching community and encourage new players to have fun.  I met them when IntrepiidExplorer and I were trying to get our first “First to Find.” We were spinning in circles, looking everywhere without luck.  Along comes a couple holding a tablet, looking mildly interested in our activities. I asked if they were geocachers. George promptly responded, “No, we’re looking for money. Not cash.”  They found the new cache within seconds. That was the beginning of our friendship. Their kindness and friendliness encouraged me to continue and really enjoy this hobby and the geocaching community.  Thank you both!

If the starting point is the Denver Dumb Friends League, then go to N39 40.753 W104 54.155

If the starting point is in the parking lot at the Arboretum Copperleaf Community Center, then solve the puzzle below.

This puzzle below gives you the coordinates to the second stage.

At the second stage, you will find six numbers (3 on top of 3) that allow you to decipher the coordinates to the final.  Subtract 302 from the top numbers for the last three digits of the north coordinates. Add 764 to the bottom numbers for the last three digits of the west coordinates.

N39 39.Top W104 49.Bottom

The final is located near a spot where police officers like to park (probably to finish their paperwork from previous calls and catch unsuspecting reckless drivers).  Be safe and outwait the muggles (even the ones in blue), or come back a little later for the final grab.

This puzzle is known as Picasso’s Primer for a simple reason.  It is an explanation (a REALLY good hint) to solve other puzzles.  Just imagine if someone was evil enough to conceal this tic-tac-toe or touch tone phone style thing in a larger image.  Adding colors to this could make it really confusing, right? Only black squares matter. (GC7Q391 and GC7Q1CY)

Congratulations to 2LabLovers for quickly resolving the mystery and making the FTF! Happy Anniversary! 21/108

Sometimes I feel like I’m on a wild goose chase with these long distance puzzle multi caches & this was one of them. But I finally figured it out & found the final. Wow took a bit of work and a leap of faith (figuratively).

I found the clues a while ago but didn't have time for the final that day. I was back in town today and made the quick grab. The cache is in good shape. TFTC

We enjoyed learning about this type of puzzle, solving it and then making the final find. The area could use a little Cito. Maybe a future event? Thanks for the fun puzzle & the tribute to such wonderful geocachers

I was sitting on the coords for the last stage for a little bit, but took advantage of the warm weather today to grab the final. Thanks for the fun find! 2lablovers are the ones that I found my hides the most, and I have found a lot of theirs, so it was fun to do this tribute cache

Fun puzzle! I got off work early today and decided to do a cache run. One of my "someday" challenges is to find 500 multis. Thanks for adding another one to the list!

Penhead63 and I were so excited to work on this puzzle after meeting you on Sunday!! WE DID IT!!!! Went up that way today to have lunch with some friends. Afterwards we attacked this multi!! Made our way to the first waypoint and did the math, and then continued on to the final. When we got there, I wasn’t sure if I had parked at the right spot. I even was going to drive down to get closer but realized that it would not work. Parked again and made the trek!! Yippee!! Found it and signed in, took a picture and headed back to the Geo-Flex. Thanks, Larry, for hiding this cache for us to find!! It was great meeting you on Sunday! IHN!
