NGS Benchmark Series. This is a series to show geocachers more of our nation's benchmarks. Though they can be found in every county in the continental U.S. benchmarks are are just another little known survey tool to the public. But when you look on the NGS site or Geocaching.com you can see every detail about them. There is also description for each that tells exactly where they are. These descriptions interest me the most, at times you have to wonder where in the world did the railroad track go that was 50 feet from a certain benchmark years ago. I hope that this series gives a historical insight to geocachers of what our country looked like in the years past.

07/02/2019 By GhostlyImage Many thanks to the last cacher for replacing this and for posting the new coords. The cache remains in fine shape and is nice and dry. SL; left a green stone. The natural beauty around here is stunning! TFTF
07/28/2018 By weizen Dropped replacement cache. New GZ: 39 03.189, 104 54.390. Clue still valid.

09/16/2017 By dnrmarslraet Looked for 20 minutes. It's gone
05/31/2017 By Back Country Horsemen Well that was disappointing to drive all the way up here & not find the cache. I checked many bushes in the gully near & around GZ. I did spot the BM.
02/15/2017 By 9-rushman&farmgirl79 This one gave me fits. The GPS was all over the place for some reason. A LOT of bounce. I finally spotted it and we're off to the next one. [8d][8d] SL TFTC
