A quick mountain cache with lots of personality! The placement of this cache (#70) coincides with my 1400th find, I guess it's fitting that it's special.
This one is a bit out of the ordinary for the "Ducking Out" series but it should be fun.

Terrain is uneven with lots of rocks, tree branches/logs, and watch out for a few prickles and the occasional red ant (just keep your feet moving).

The terrain rating is lower if you park and enter the area from the nearby parking waypoint provided (southwest of GZ). The terrain is HIGHER if you try to approach from the closest road point.

NOTE: THE CACHING CANISTER (ONCE REMOVED) DOES NOT OPEN FROM THE TOP!

This was going to be our last cache of the day. We arrived at the parking spot, and saw the steep approach to the cache. We laughed as we pondered that this was the easy trek. We contemplated abandoning it, but I decided to go for it. I put on some long pants and boots and then headed toward the cache. Part way down, I came upon a trail and followed that for a while until I needed to head off toward the cache. I found the cache easily enough and thought that the CO did a great job with the container. One of the fins was broken off and was on the ground. Otherwise, the cache was in good shape. We were on our way to see our daughter in Fraser, Colorado. We decided to drive so that we could spend some time caching along the way. One of our main interests was to add counties to our find list. We also had a goal of finding the Geoart near Lincoln, NE called, “Geocross.” A bonus was that we have family who live in Lincoln, so we got to visit with them. Our biggest geocaching goal was to find the infamous oldie but goodie, Mingo cache.

I thought this looked familiar as I came down the hill. I had signed this with Sara nearly 2 years ago beforehand re I was a member! Loved it just as much as the first time. Thank you for the placement
