PLEASE READ MY LATEST LOG ENTRY CONCERNING COORDINATES.

A beautiful spot with scenic views all around. Cross Cottonwood Creek on bridge and see all the beaver ponds. Bring your lunch and water. Informal camping spot within sight, so use stealth if campers present. Enjoy! I have placed three caches along this portion of the CO Trail within a day's hike. This is the most easterly (or SE) one.
From Buena Vista's only traffic light (to date) go west on Main. After passing Cottonwood Hot Springs on your right, take the next left turn (road to Cottonwood Lake) just past the horse stables. There are multiple geocaches in this area. Plan a day of it. You can find 'em!

Parking area:

Fun find while staying at Spring Canyon for the week.Best to cut through the area with the benches and fire ring just before the cache, rather than taking a right off the trail parallel to the cache...hill is steep there.
