We hiked about 3.5 miles from our house through dense national Forest to get this. Super fun way rather than drive on 119 and hike in. Tftc!

Hiked from the suggested parking into the campground, then up to the cache. Easy walk with great views to the North, especially if you climb a little further to the highest point called out.

My #2863. {FTF} at 3pm Saturday June 15 with David, Helen, and Ben. David and I live in Pennsylvania and Helen and Ben in Centennial. We had been in Boulder for a wedding shower and wanted to get a hike. When I searched for caches in Cachly, I saw the FTF opportunity. Thank you, Cachly. As we drove up Boulder Canyon and waited at the 3 stoplights, I got out and got a quick picture from the road of Boulder Falls. Helen had to slow down for a kayak in the other lane. But by the time we got close to the cache, traffic had died down. Why hadn’t anyone been up here? We parked just outside the campground and I grabbed the other nearby cache. Then we walked in too far into the campground hoping to find a trail. Not. We should have parked, walked in a little, and headed to the high point noted or the cache. Beware downed barbed wire. We came out from the high point. David made the nicely hidden find. We were pleased to see the empty log, but I somehow didn’t take a log picture. I apologize for not taking the travel bug. We did some CITO as we approached the car and then headed to Centennial Cone Park for more hiking. I hope that more people get up this way. The mountains were beautiful. Thank you for bringing us here. TFTC.
