Cpl. Charlie Kishbaugh was planted on Memorial Day 2010 in honor of my Pop Pop (Mom's step-father) who fought in WW2 against the Nazis. Pop Pop served his country under General George Patton in Patton's 3rd Army (tank/armored division) and rode in a Sherman tank from France to Berlin scoring a major victory for the United States of America and our freedom. While in Berlin, Pop Pop grabbed a souvenir - a 40+ foot long swastika banner he tore down from a Nazi beer hall.

After the war, Pop Pop served his community, Forty-Fort PA as a police officer. His passions were gardening, hunting and fishing. His best friend was a Pennsylvania game warden.

Pop Pop was my bestest friend in the whole world and love me unconditionally, spoiling me rotten by giving me all sorts of candy and sugar forbidden by my parents. He passed away in 1982 when I was only ten.

The location of this cache is a nice spot Pop Pop would have enjoyed if he came to CO. It's deep in the woods. Far enough off trail to avoid muggle detection.

I'm sure it's there, I just decided to look on the north facing slope of a mountain after a 4 inch snow for a cache. Dumb move! I'll check back on a warmer day.

Very hard find. Long looping hike and bushwhack through the tumbled forest. Beware the poison ivy. 25-30 feet from my GPS GZ coordinates. TFTC. K7

My first did not find of the day. The other logs mentioned it being difficult. I'll try again when the weather gets a little warmer.

Eleventh of 17 finds today with Bhob.

Sixth one in this park, saw about 50 Elk as well, and picked up a few ticks.

Sneaky but we persevered and found it!
