Looks like lots of folks come this way to catch some rays! The northern side of the trail is closed for wildlife needs, so I headed south and parked in the lot off Monarch. I think this was a good day - the cold kept both the snakes and the muggles away. I've already gotten this ray, but this cache was in my way so I stopped for it. :) Everything was in good shape here. Thanks for the smiley! Find #3514.

Have a quiet weekend so I decided to grab a few for the 360 degrees of Colorado challenge. Hopped in the car kinda early and headed south. When I started out it was 64 degrees and sunny, the rain rolled in and it dropped down to 48 in a hurry. I enjoyed my hikes today, lots of flowers, rocks, cactus and birds to look at. I'll probably hit a few more tomorrow, it will be awesome to get to below 100 red rays!

Saw it right away from a distance. Thanks for the cache.

I parked at Daniels Gate Park and hiked one section of the trail and then doubled back to the car. I was not sure I would have enough time to grab all the caches on my list, but I did. So I continued on and hiked the other side of the trail. The trail is in great condition and there were less than 5 areas of mud/snow and it was close to 75 degrees in the afternoon. For the first time in about 6 months, I actually broke a sweat while hiking. I found all of the caches that I went after (16/16). I was planning to grab 4 more that were part of a series, but that section of the trail is closed until April. I had a great day, and I love caching in the winter/early spring because there is less bushwhacking involved and the caches are not as well hidden. Also less muggles. Total mileage for the day was about 7.5 miles in about 4 hours. Thanks to everyone for the caches here on the trail.

It was a great day to be on the trail. A very light rain kept most people off. Just encountered a few bikers and one other person walking their dog. My geodog, Jack, always wants to play with any other dogs he encounters so I was fine not seeing hardly any others!

This cache was exactly as advertised and is in good shape. I'm actually amazed it's still here with no muggle activity given that it's hidden in plain sight.

Thanks for the hide jahagen. I appreciate you keeping this cache active for everyone to enjoy.
