I am a natural klutz -- so much so that when my caching pals Periwinkle128 saw this patch in a cache, they thought of me. But still, as I was placing a group of caches around McKay Lake I suffered an inordinate number of flesh wounds. As I was climbing the tree to place this cache I managed to smoosh my upper arm fat between two branches... Ouch!

Subcutaneous fat sits under the skin, as opposed to visceral fat which surrounds the organs. Everyone has some subcutaneous fat, but lifestyle factors such as diet and exercise, as well as genetics, affect the amount of subcutaneous fat each person develops. This injury has motivated me to reduce the amount of subcutaneous fat I'm carrying around.

McKay Lake Trail is a 1.6 mile flat, concrete & crushed gravel loop trail where you are treated to ancient, towering cottonwood and willow trees along the south side of the small lake and uninterrupted views of the mountains to the west.

I'm really glad that there have been two recent finds here. I was unable to spot the cache from the ground and didn't have any appropriate climbing shoes with me today. I'm going to trust bobbyhobbs and Seek da Cache and claim that this cache is ready to be found by the next seeker. Happy caching!

I stopped by today to try and grab this replaced cache. Made the quick walk to the tree and after going up and down a few times I finally spotted it. It's not an easy one to spot this time of year. SL. And this could almost be a higher difficulty and terrain.

The weather and the timing of when I'm in this area for work finally conspired to allow me to replace this container. The bad news is that the original birdhouse is irreparable - I guess you get what you pay for. The good news is is I was able to place the new container slightly higher. It is now a small bison tube. I have upped the difficulty to a 2.5 given the fact that you probably cannot see this from the ground and will have to hunt a bit when you're up in the tree. Happy climbing!

Found by capn Scallywags and Stoney. Cache broke upon retrieval.. the top came off. The hide was abnormally placed in my opinion. Unable to place back in tree so I hid it on the ground nearby. Sorry.
