I am a natural klutz -- so much so that when my caching pals Periwinkle128 saw this patch in a cache, they thought of me. But still, as I was placing a group of caches around McKay Lake I suffered an inordinate number of flesh wounds. Placing this cache smashed the tip of my right ring finger! I'm hoping noone was around to hear the string of expletives I released upon the smashing! I am excited to share this injury with my anatomy students as we learn forearm muscle anatomy!

The Flexor digitorum superficialis is in the anterior compartment of the forearm. It is sometimes considered to be the deepest part of the superficial layer of this compartment and sometimes considered to be a distinct, "intermediate layer" of this compartment. It is relatively common for the Flexor digitorum superficialis to be missing from the little finger, but that was not the finger I smashed.

McKay Lake Trail is a 1.6 mile flat, concrete & crushed gravel loop trail where you are treated to ancient, towering cottonwood and willow trees along the south side of the small lake and uninterrupted views of the mountains to the west.

Fisherman muggle standing at GZ. Not going to log a DNF because I didn’t search. Will be back.

A no go here. But not because I didn't look; you always hate to leave behind a DNF.

The little one is getting tired of the same old walks and bike rides, so we headed over here today. We didn't have much time, only made it to the first two caches before we had to head back to the car. The little one's had the training wheels off for not quite a week now, and riding is her new obsession. She'd ride ahead and stop and wait. The little one was excited to find this one, especially after I told her who hid it. This is my least favorite type of hide, but it was in the first place I looked. Thanks for the smiley!

So so so many muggles on this beautiful Monday morning! Slowed to a walk on my geo run as the families were getting suspicious with me running past them and then stopping over and over ;) Currently waiting for a clear spot so I can sign the cache that I spotted. Typically my least favorite kind of hide but your hint and placement made my finding joy easy! Thanks for all the new placements around one of my favorite local lakes!
