The goal of this cache is to expand the various D/T combinations of multi-caches in the area. With that being said, this is a very straightforward multi in terms of how it is laid out. The difficulty comes from the number of stages, as there is no computation required to get to the final. You may find TOTT helpful.

I was planning on a long write up on this one, but benj59 has said it all already. The only thing I’ll add is that the difficulty of spotting the caches is certainly more than the posted 1.5. Gets a favorite for the enjoyable and extended duration search with good company and a memorable experience.

Co [FTF] at 8:21pm with Hoopsloth. Well that was an experience! I had seen this sitting unfound for several days and finally decided it was time someone gave this a shot. I reached out to a couple geofriends and Hoopsloth was open and available! When we met up at GZ initially the search had already been underway for 15 minutes. I joined and we completely struck out. Questioning whether the coords were accurate we decided to throw in the towel. I DNFed another cache over here (because why not pile on the DNFs?) and then drove home.

Within a few minutes of arriving back home I got a message from Hoopsloth about where Stage 1 was. I was compelled to return!

Regarding Stage 1 - I fully admit I didn't expect it to be THERE. Usually with multis I expect the hardest stage to be at the end. This was the reverse. Thankfully we had an intrepid tree climber in our midst who did the honors. We got the Stage 2 coords and headed off.

We questioned the accuracy of the coords but were assured they were correct. We searched all possible hosts for quite a while and came up completely empty. I messaged the CO to confirm where we thought it might be and then learned of an error. Sometimes being FTF means you're the first beta tester! Which can honestly create both some frustration and excitement! Thankfully the CO was helpful in clarifying where Stage 2 actually was and then we found it quite quickly. Same with the third and final stage.

This is the first time I've cached with Hoopsloth and it was a fun experience! For that and an overall great hide this gets a Favorite from me!

Thanks for the hide RB921
