{FTF} @ 1:23 AM

Great job with the coordinates! Congrats on your first placement!

I saw this publish before I was heading to bed. Then I happened to wake up in the middle of the night, probably because of FTF-induced insomnia. Before I headed out, I checked what Google satellite view showed for this. I didn't see any clear host from that view and was skeptical whether the coordinates would be correct. Seeing that it was placed by someone who was obviously very new to the game added to my skepticism. However, I am working on filling my FTF calendar and this was still an empty date. Well, somebody has to go first. And there were also some other FTF opportunities that were in more or less that same area in case I came up emtpy here. So, I decided to take a chance and see how this worked out.

I came through the Left Bank park and started working my way South down the alley. I quickly understood the name of the cache and gained more confidence that the coordinates would at least put me close enough. Once at GZ I quickly had the prize in hand. I headed over to a nearby streetlight to finish up my normal routine. I grabbed the $0.25 as an FTF prize; don't worry, it ends up in the geocaching fund from which I turn cash into cache. Then, after snapping the customary photo I headed back to the host and returned the container as found. There was no need to use either of the backups; I could leave them for somebody else and head back home to bed.

If I am tracking things properly, this one fills my 300th day of my FTF calendar. Thanks for the placement. Maybe I'll race out for another one of yours in the future!
