Need to get in some late logs- on a couple of my wife & my recent visits our internet was sketchy; and we've been swamped otherwise. I made a circuit to here & points southwest; figures another one would appear- higher up- after I was gone
I found the same shovel and replacement mentioned in July a year ago … but no trace of the biggie from July this year !!??? Ahh who knows.

Take this cache and shovel it, I don't have to look for you no more!
I replaced the last geocacher's temp placement over a year ago with an appropriate sized container (a large twist wire nut container) at the GZ (see attached photo). I packed it in pretty good behind and under rocks in a protected area (see attached photo). Using the logs recently posted here this year and last, you'll get it but prepare to maybe get dirty. There's a lot of scree and mountainside washing through with the recent rains. I hope this effort today keeps it around for the duration.
There's a pencil and a full size log sheet in there, but a sandwich size plastic bag would be a good idea to place the log in.
Thanks for the hike up the trail today for this geocache.

On an epic caching adventure with RPieperco. After a long search without a container we waivered whether to dnf the cache or replace it. An old cache we wanted to help keep it going, but it was worthy of being done correctly. Finally we decided to ahead with the replacement hoping someone can bring a better container next time.

Thanks for the cache! I spent a long time here poking and prodding in all the "obvious" places. So many nooks and crannies to hide a cache in and so much debris! I identified several spots from previous photos and I honed in on a promising spot. It matched perfect to a photo. Found the likely spot and several rocks that looked to be hiding something. Nothing there. I searched some more, out to about 60'. Found an old miners shovel! In the end I went back to the original location and dug it out just to make sure all the pine cones and needles and other debris hadn't covered it up. I left a new log and small container at this spot (5' reading on GPS). If the next person to go after this can bring a larger container that would be excellent. Thanks again! Onto SRM!

Came back with determination after DNFing this one a few years ago. So glad to finally get this one done. I was surprised to see lots of trash in the area, I would have thought this was too far of a hike for people to hang out. I guess rockhounds visit the area.
Thanks for the hide and a good hike!

After all the rain I was curious to see how this cache had fared; interestingly in great shape.

Today was the day for another invite for a fun and tough) geo-run with Pohka; once again validating the strategy of having a good wingman. Despite all of the recent rains, there was no additional obstacles or concerns navigating to the cache. After a nice hike to the GZ, we got right to work on the hunt. Coordinates were initially off for me by almost 30 - 40 feet. Fortunately, the GPS finally settled down and the smiley was had. The cache is still in place and the contents in great shape despite all of the water. Thanks to the CO for the fun hunt and nice cache, TFTC!

I decided to test my ankle out and do a little bit of a hard hike, it turned out a little more than I thought it would be (I went from Bark, GC 1413R, by about the straightest path possible meaning I was climbing anmd off trail more than not). Having gotten here (and nearly blown) I rested for a few minutes and then began the search (note: there's lots of places here folks). Knowing the "bounce" could put the error into the 60 foot region I opened my search up and looked high and low. Interestingly the search didn't take as long as I expected (the coords are good) but then the container wasn't what I was expecting either. Resting up a little I headed back down the trail to get good waypoints for my next trip past here! TFTC.
