Looks like lots of folks come this way to catch some rays! The northern side of the trail is closed for wildlife needs, so I headed south and parked in the lot off Monarch. I think this was a good day - the cold kept both the snakes and the muggles away. :) A couple cyclists passed by me around here, and I wound up walking past GZ and had to come back to make the find.
Everything was in good shape here. Thanks for the smiley! Find #3511.
Have a quiet weekend so I decided to grab a few for the 360 degrees of Colorado challenge. Hopped in the car kinda early and headed south. When I started out it was 64 degrees and sunny, the rain rolled in and it dropped down to 48 in a hurry. I saw good stuff on my hikes today, lots of flowers, rocks, cactus and birds to look at. I'll probably hit a few more tomorrow, it will be awesome to get to below 100 red rays!

Luckily my eye spotted something shiny and I was able to make this find. Found the container totally unscrewed, but log was dry. Did not see any reason why it would not continue to stay screwed together while it waits for the next cacher. Thanks for the cache.
I parked at Daniels Gate Park and hiked one section of the trail and then doubled back to the car. I was not sure I would have enough time to grab all the caches on my list, but I did. So I continued on and hiked the other side of the trail. The trail is in great condition and there were less than 5 areas of mud/snow and it was close to 75 degrees in the afternoon. For the first time in about 6 months, I actually broke a sweat while hiking. I found all of the caches that I went after (16/16). I was planning to grab 4 more that were part of a series, but that section of the trail is closed until April. I had a great day, and I love caching in the winter/early spring because there is less bushwhacking involved and the caches are not as well hidden. Also less muggles. Total mileage for the day was about 7.5 miles in about 4 hours. Thanks to everyone for the caches here on the trail.

I'm grabbing as many caches as possible before the end of the year. I cheated a little and parked nearby to make the grab. I almost missed this one. All is well here. Tftc!

This was the last of the Trail Caches for me today as a storm was coming in and I had to get back to my car. It was a good thing I headed back when I did as my geodog, Jack, and I ended up getting SOAKED! Still a very fun hike and I look forward to doing more along this trail.
The find was quick and easy. I had read the previous logs about needing a new log and thankfully I was prepared. I removed the old log and dropped in a fresh one for future finders to sign.
Thanks for the hide jahagen. I appreciate you keeping this cache active for everyone to enjoy.

I was able to spot this one shining in the sun 50 ft away! The log is completely full and I didn't bring any supplies on my bike ride. I initialed RT over the geocaching logo. Thank you for the series!
