There's more than one way to get to Signal Peak!
Cache is along a hiking/mountain-biking single-track dirt trail off the Lost Canyon Road.
Short 1/3 mile uphill hike. Be aware of cactus, and wear hiking shoes.
Elevation at the cache: 8235'
Trailhead (unmarked) is along the Lost Canyon Road (CR 743), (See Waypoint Chart).
The Lost Canyon Road is accessible from HWY 135 via CR 10.
The Lost Canyon Road to the trailhead is a graded dirt road which is driveable by car. There is a place to park just past the trailhead. A very pleasant hike awaits you with a good view of the backside of Signal Peak. A great area for early spring flowers, too, especially Pasque Flowers, Pincushion Cactus, Paintbrush, and Mat Phlox. The hiking trail hooks up with the backroads into the Signal Peak area.

Cache is in a clear plastic box with a blue rim.

Hunting season advisory: Colorado hunting season is in September and October. If you venture out during this time, wear some blaze orange and be noisy.

Great hike! I've been up Lost Canyon 100 times and never noticed the trail.

TFTC! Neat little hide. We couldn't see the trail right away and, if it wasn't for the waypoint, we may never have found it. Had a great day off of work.

TFTC, found today with CB_Beauty. Today was a Flutiste day, as this was our 3rd of 4. We did not immediately see the single track, but found it after bushwacking straight up the hill. The single track certainly made it much easier for us and geo-dog to make our way. Neat hiding spot, the last cacher did a great job on the re-hide, as it blended in nicely with the surroundings.
