Didn't find it 03/01/2019 By Granitegrabber
Had a nice walk in the snow and trudged thru some deep stuff going up the hillside. My bad, I was looking for the orange thermos in the rocks and now reading all of the logs, the following morning, realize that there was a bison tube hanging in the big tree. I wondered why my GPS kept taking me to the big tree and thought, perhaps, that something was hanging there but didn't see it. So, I'll wait until the snow melts and come back another time and check out the tree again. I'll be watching this one. It's worth the walk and the beautiful scenery.

So, RedV2 and I are out finishing off a Badger Basin area list that I've had for several years. It is an easy walk in from the road block, and then up to GZ. After over a year since the last log, it is still right where previous finders said it was. All is well with the replacement container, just remember what you are looking for.

Last time we were here it was a DNF. Better luck this time

TFTC I joined nicehice this morning for a bit of caching in the Badger Flats area. It is a beautiful sunny day, but it is warming up quickly.

It is always a great day when you can avenge a DNF. The last time we were here was in August of 2017 and it was missing. Happy to see it was replaced. All was in good shape.

There was a target shooter set up in a pickup truck at the end of the valley. He came by to see what we were doing. When we left he was laying in the back of his truck with a very long rifle on a tripod. His target must have been over a half mile up the valley. Geocaching always is an interesting adventure.
