Though there doesn’t seem to be any official patron saint of parking spaces, Mother Cabrini is often considered to be one, at least unofficially.

St. Frances Xavier Cabrini was an Italian-American nun who founded the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in New York, which was a great support to the Italian immigrants who were arriving in the United States in the last part of the 19th century.

She became “Mother Cabrini” after she took on the religious habit. She arrived in New York in 1889. In a short time of 35 years she founded 67 institutions, including orphanages, schools, and hospitals, dedicated to caring for the poor, uneducated, sick, and abandoned, especially Italian immigrants.

She was canonized by Pope Pius XII on July 7, 1946, making her the first United States citizen to be canonized.

Having lived in New York, she probably knew well the sorrow of finding a parking space. Some have used these prayers to great effect:

Armi pii, armi santi, fatimi truvari un postu vacanti.”    Which translates as “Holy Souls, Holy Saints, help me find an empty space.”

and:

“Mother Cabrini, Mother Cabrini, please find a spot for my little machiney.”

The next time you find yourself going around in circles, you could call on her, too.

We are jet-lagged from an amazing trip to Prague, Czech Republic and Krakow, Poland. So, what better way is there to bide your time when your schedule is all messed? By geocaching...of course! This was a very clever hide and steals a favorite point from me. I am not prepared to bike yet and barely managed to remember how to drive after 2 weeks of strictly using public transit in Europe. But I made it there and back home and got a smiley in the process. TFTC

We decided to take advantage of a very nice day to head out and go grab some of the recently published caches in the area and continue on with the "Out and About Challenge". Nicely done, haven't seen one of these hides in quite a while. Very nice hide and camo,TFTC

I searched the Gz, surprised that a cache might be there. No luck. After reviewing previous logs about the coords, I soon found the clever container.
Today I headed northwest for an event. After grabbing a few caches I arrived at the event and chatted for too long. Then 2lablovers took me on a caching expedition. They had better plans, so I continued caching alone. It was a good day!
Thanks for the cache!

{FTF} @ 4:23 AM

Oh my goodness! I spent far longer looking for this one than I would like to admit. The coordinates are slightly off and so I spent way too much time searching around the wrong host. I took a step back and then thought I noticed something. There is enough information provided in this description so that you should have a better idea of where you should be searching for this one. I'll give this one a favorite for the craftsmanship put into this.

I honestly didn't get up early intentionally. Had I realized that this one had published last night, I would have gone for it then. I needed an FTF for yesterday's calendar day as well. I was getting in bed around 9:30PM and I happened to wake up early this morning. I went downstairs and was going to putter around on the computer with some mystery caches. I decided to take a look at my email and noticed that this one had published last night. Well, I also needed an FTF for this calendar day. For a while, I thought I was going to have to walk away empty-handed. But, I was able to (once again) use my geosenses in the end. This is definitely a different type of hide than this CO has placed previously. One of the attributes still puzzles me.
