This cache is dedicated to hiking_fool, who placed the original Everyman's Cache (GC17K9G) on 11/24/2007.  Unfortunately, that cache was lost to the Waldo Canyon wildfire (June-July 2012) and was then archived.  The trail to this cache is now back open to hikers, and we have worked with hiking_fool to ensure it was OK for us to place another cache in this spot.  This cache is 35 feet from where the original was.

THIS INFORMATION IS TAKEN FROM THE DESCRIPTION OF THE ORIGINAL EVERYMAN'S CACHE, AND STILL APPLIES; the difficulty and terrain ratings, along with the container size and type are also the same as the original cache.

Just off the trail to Smokey's Stash. This WAS an Additional Logging Requirements (ALRs) cache where certain requirements had to be met before logging the cache.

Back when ALR caches were legal and I saw that they were becoming common, I thought I'd better jump in with my own. To log this cache you MUST have had to meet ALL the following (no longer true - April 2009):

1) You must have previously found a cache in Colorado that was placed on or after 7/2/2000;
2) The cache claimed in 1) must have at least one character from the following set: a-z, A-Z,0-9,!,@,#,$,%,^,&,*,(,),",',? ("Previously known as..." is acceptable.);
3) Your geocaching name must have at least one character from the list in 2).

You will be looking for a small ammo can a short distance off the trail.

CONGRATULATIONS to hartsdale for being FTF !

Revisited to trade TBs. Nice little hike and cache.

Found on a beautiful day of hiking and conversation with gampa&gamma! I've been meaning to explore the Waldo Canyon area for a while, and today was the day. My mom was unexpectedly in town for a little longer than anticipated, so she joined us, too...for a hike that ended up being longer than expected as well (and uphill on the way back, even)! I thought we were only going for 4 (or maybe 8 caches if we were feeling it), but we were at GZs for 10! Along the way, she finally decided that she'd get her own geocaching account for all the traveling she does, too. We have a convert, haha! This cache was in great shape, thank you for placing this one - pretty sure I qualify :-)

We enjoyed an incredibly beautiful Colorado day of hiking and caching with Kerewin0430 and her mom. Hmmmm, I think ALL of our caches qualify :O) Whew! Signed log and discovered the one trackable in the container. Replaced as found. Thanks!

TB drop by the CO -- Lars Trek Tag. The description of that one says that it would like to go to a cache where you need to do a bit of hiking; ironically, Lars has not been doing much hiking lately, as he broke his right ankle in two places recently. Poor Lars :-(

We have been planning this trail for over a year now. Work schedules got in the way but today was the best day and wanted this trail done before winter sets in. Thanks for the Cache. SmileSmileCoolKissesSleepyWink
