Another bit of Colorado history. During the summer months, you will see lots of activity on the river, including but not limited to, fly fishing, kayakers, and white water rafting.

You will need to find information on the history placard to fill in the numbers for the next stage. Use this key: N39° 44.ABC W105° 28.XYZ where A = how many months (rounded) to complete the twin tunnels ÷ 3. B = the difference of years between the completion of the Eisenhower Tunnel and the Johnson Tunnel. C = how many highway tunnels were built in Colorado prior to 1961. X = how many hydropower plants were purchased by Public Service Company in Colorado in 1924, then add 1. Y = the 3rd number of the year that the Gem was built. Z = how many benches to the North of the sign you are reading.

WP1 coords had put me at the base of a sheer cliff, with 100' to go. No way can it be up there, with a 1.5/1.5 rating.

FTF at 1:44 pm!! Took me 4 trips to find WP2, finally got it. I had some issues with the coordinates for this one, although the final location is right on. A little help from the CO, but I was looking in the wrong place the first three visits so that didn't help. Coords from WP1 calculation are way off, on wrong side of creek. TFTC SL that's one for June.
