Had a morning meeting, so was not able to get the early start necessary to take on this park... so just grabbed the caches on the way up Carpenter Peak. The snow was an issue for a few and maybe even the reason for the DNFs, but it was still a fun day. When we got to the top, it started to snow and was sunny again by the time we reached the car. What a day. Thanks for all the caches.

Unable to see the photo hint on the way up and just too darn tired to look long on the way down. I’m sure it’s here. Another time!

Out caching today with FeartheFish and like usual driving his butt all over the place. Dragged him up the side of the mountain so that he could find all the yellow brick road caches before he adopts them. TFTC!

Apparently I am no longer able to find a cache without being accompanied by the lovable and always cheerful herndonrd. Today was no exception, as I was out and about caching with herndonrd simply because I make him look good. He typically finds the caches while I look in all the wrong places. We were on a special mission today as we were both finding and maintaining the caches in this series so I could adopt them from the cache owner (i.e. you). In some cases we put new containers in place and/or adjusted coordinates slightly. Please check the P.P.S. section of this log for any changes.

After we did the whole sign and replace thing here we celebrated our victory by hiking off to another one. Thanks for the fun hide and for getting me outside on such a beautiful day.

P. S. No animals (humans or otherwise) were harmed in the writing of this log.

P. P. S. Found original cache. Slight coordinate adjustment. (320, 207)

My #2462 with David. We searched for this one on the way up. Not knowing how good your coords were and reading that someone had dropped a baggie, we gave up and I wrote a DNF log. But I just saved the log and couldn't send it. Coming down knowing coords were great on this series, we looked again, and I found the appropriate series container in a few minutes. I deleted my DNF log without sending it. Altogether we found four separate deer, many butterflies, six caches, and one Earthcache in this park today. When we pulled out snack bars on our way down, David said, "they're melting" in his best Wicked Witch voice. It seemed appropriate for the series. Thank you for the fun. We live in Pennsylvania. I'm not sure if we will be back to do the rest, but it was fun. Thank you. TFTC.
