Bring some water and a snack. Heck, bring the fixin's for a picnic if it's warm! This place is beautiful and there are so many other trails and places to explore. When you get towards the top of this trail look north... my brother calls that an alien face, I say it looks like one of those apes from the movie. Congrats to Rudy&Kathy on FTF!
This cache is placed in honor of my brother and sister-in-law who put a cache further along on this trail. This is a pleasant hike, and gets tougher if you continue on up the Colorado Trail to the next cache. It's a good workout! We found this spot on our way to Chalk Canyon View cache and thought it would be a great place to add another cache along this beautiful trail and on your way to the other cache. Enjoy the sound of the creek. Note your surroundings. NOTE: There used to be bones someone posed on top of a nearby boulder. They are gone now. :(
Follow County Road 290. You'll see Colorado Trail intersecting with 290 on your right and very shortly after that you'll see a parking area big enough for two cars by a trail sign on the right. That trail sign says "Colorado Trail/Raspberry Gulch".
While you're in the area, check out the hot springs. Nice way to end a pleasant hike.
