This cache is located near a difficult 4x4 obstacle known as "Moab Hill." The name of this red sandstone obstacle is fitting as it is similar in appearance to many of the difficult obstacles found in Moab.

Moab Hill is located on the Illinois Gulch trail that starts out near Rainbow Falls. The Illinois Gulch trailhead is included as a waypoint below and you can download a GPX track file for the trail here. With the exception of the Moab Hill obstacle which is completely optional, the trail can easily be done in most high clearance 4WD vehicles. The trail can also be hiked from the parking area near the entrance to Rainbow Falls. You are looking for a decon container located below a ledge that is south-east of Moab Hill. There is an unactivated 2007 Colorado Geocoin for FTF.

Opened up the 4-Wheel-Drive Trails book and selected the Rainbow Falls 8-mile trail to get my Jeep out on. Might as well bring some company and do some geocaching, too! Could not have asked for a better day to enjoy what I love about Colorado. TFTC! --Deadmoney

Totally not where I was expecting knowing the area! Great placement my pen didn't work and I didn't want to hike back to the jeep so it's kinda scratched in the log

The road to the cache was a bit more interesting than I thought it would be but estes01 had no problem getting us there. It will be fun to come back on a dry day and do some more exploring. TFTC
