In Pike National Forest, Take National Forest Rd. 108 at State Hiway 9 at mile marker 32 Follow signs to Dicks Peak. It is 7.5 Miles to the Cache. You can park by hiway 9 and take an OHV or horse or I suggest a 4x4 if you are going to drive, you can drive all the way to the cache. It can be slick when wet.You will pass by the Hunter Glen cache (Waypoint GCKK9H) on the way as well.
The cache is at 10,722 Ft. and has some beautiful views at the top. some contents of the cache are John Deere playing cards, cowboy Bible, crazy 8 cards, Sargent Preston of the Yukon DVD, small FM radio, bag of marbles, soap dish, carabiners, and a shiney .999 pure REAL silver coin for the First To Find! and other goodies. On the way down bear right just after you leave the cache and it will take you down on the south side of the mountain through the trees and bring you back to the road you came up on.

The plan today was to go to Fairplay to grab a few caches. The farther north we got the harder it rained. This was the first one on our list and after driving this far I didn't want to turn around without getting at least one find. Also I wanted to get this one today because it has been almost 2 years to the day of the last time it was found. I'm glad I had 4 wheel drive today because I needed it in a few spots where the road was muddy going up the hill. When we got to the top the west view was completely fogged in. The view to the East was better but you still couldn't see very far. The cell tower was making a load humming sound so we didn't stay to long. I'm glad I had a plan B. So it's off to Pueblo we go. Great place for a cache. Stamped the log and were off to the next one, [8d][8d]SL TFTC TNLN

#5 of 6 for today....beautiful drive out to it....you definately need high clearance on this...we did it in our Blazer ...we did it with street tires, which was not really the thing to do, but were careful and followed the CO advice and took the right fork down...Much easier than the drive up!...LOL...Thanks for bringing us here...will get a fave for the location, scenery along the way and nice big container to reward our efforts....TFTC!...{would have dropped a Tb, but was afraid it would get stranded...it really is too bad that more people have`nt come for this one }....

along the way...

I was with the two previous hunters and we found it easy. Fun find.

There was a lot of stuff in it, ammo can.
Much better than the first Cache I found that was in a plastic container that was no longer useful.
Had a couple kids with us, they took a couple plastic coins and we left a couple other items we had in the ATV with us.
Pretty easy to find, the road was fine not sure why others are saying it was rough.

Great cache, easy find - thankfully, since the storm was rolling in and we would not want to stick around in a lightning storm. Great scenic views!!

Spending our 4th summer in Buena Vista with a dozen or so of our Jeeping friends. Decided to take a Sunday drive Jeeping style. We left BV for Salida, went up Ute trail to Whitehorn, and on east to Guffey for lunch. Then headed west again thru the Pike Natl forest for this cache, before heading north to reaching Castle Rock. Went thru 1/2 hour of pouring rain and thought we would get stuck - not in the redmobile! Great day, tftc

What a rough road up to this cache. It was also pretty steep. But once we reached the top the view was amazing. We found the cache with no problems. This cache was my 400th find. My dad took out the food that was in the cache to keep the animals out of it.
Thanks for a great cache.

Wow what a rough road to this cache once we found the correct one. We made it to the top of Dicks Peak and it was windy and cold good thing we brought our jackets with us. What a view from up here. Job well done on this cache 2 dollar Bill.

We started out for this cache by going the wrong trail. I went on the trail 260. I ended up in a valley 1.25 miles below the cache. After eatting out picnic lunch we turned around and made our way back to 108. We finally found the right trail and prceeded to the cache. Ran in to a hunters camp along the way. we made it to the top of Dicks Peak and the view was spectacular. It was pretty windy up there and cool. I was amazed to see a cell tower up here. We found the cache with no problems. Cache was in excellent condition suprisingly becacuse when we opened it up there was a bag of Frito's in the cache and some candy. Signed the log. Before putting back I took all the trash and food out of the conatiner. Thanks for another awsome cache 2 dollar Bil. will post pictures soon.

What a beautiful location. We lucked out and had great weather with great views. Took nothing and left $1.00. Wish we would have packed a picnic lunch. Will go back to this location with friends. Thanks for the placement.
