This is a new hide in my "Tribute Series" dedicated to Cache Owners I absolutely adore, and actively seek out their hiding places. This cache was placed in honor of Mondou2, who is a Geocaching Charter Member and currently ranked #1 in the world with over 200,000 finds and is the owner of over 1600 hides! He will find more cache's this week than I've found in my short caching career. We are lucky to have this treasure here in Colorado, and this is our way of saying Thank You Mondou2, we've had a lot of adventures and great memories over the years searching for your caches. This unique spot is about a mile up the Colorado Trail from the parking lot, and will lead you to an interesting old abandoned Quartz mine. From here you'll be searching for a very small log only cache, please make sure to replace it in the exact spot you found it so I can maintain a D/3 rating. Make sure to soak in the views of the river, and of course Mondo's Monolith!! Happy Hunting and BYOP!

05/27/2020 By Bhob Went for a nice drive out to the west and south of the Denver metro area, on a delightful mid-spring day - this was the third of eleven geocaches that I found along the way. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !
