It’s not mandatory to listen to The Beatles while searching this series, but you should!

"Paperback Writer" is a 1966 song recorded and released by the English rock band the Beatles. Written by Paul McCartney and John Lennon[5] (credited to Lennon–McCartney), the song was released as the A-side of their eleventh single. The single went to the number one spot in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, West Germany, Australia, New Zealand and Norway. On the US Billboard Hot 100, the song was at number one for two non-consecutive weeks, being interrupted by Frank Sinatra's "Strangers in the Night".

"Paperback Writer" was the last new song by the Beatles to be featured on their final tour in 1966.

According to disc jockey Jimmy Savile, McCartney wrote "Paperback Writer" in response to a request from an aunt who asked if he could "write a single that wasn't about love".[6][7] Savile said, "With that thought obviously still in his mind, he walked around the room and noticed that Ringo was reading a book. He took one look and announced that he would write a song about a book."[6]In a 2007 interview, McCartney recalled that he started writing the song after reading in the Daily Mail about an aspiring author, possibly Martin Amis. The Daily Mail was Lennon's regular newspaper and copies were in Lennon's Weybridge home when Lennon and McCartney were writing songs.[6]

The song's lyrics are in the form of a letter from an aspiring author addressed to a publisher. The author badly needs a job and has written a paperback book based on a book by a "man named Lear".

I absolutely love these Little Libraries!  This one is exceptionaly well built and the bronze bench and statue are hands down the best I've ever seen.  I'm starting with a nano container until I can upgrade to a better "paperback" version to place in the library.

Hope you enjoy this cache and the library.

Great library, and it's open 24/7 not like all the others on this Memorial Day. Had to read some earlier logs to get an idea as to what to look for. This was the last of the day after 2 finds way up on top of the ridge line and getting off track going to others, we'll just have to come back for those and attack them from a different route. Tftc and a very easy terrain.

Placed a bison tube in the library. I keep cutting books to hollow them, but they keep getting stolen. Going with a smaller option. No... Not as cool... But we'll see how long it lasts.

It's really sad this cache keeps getting stolen, especially with past efforts to secure it in place.

We cached our way to the Colorado Springs area with several goals in mind. First there were three events that we wanted to attend during the weekend. We also wanted to work on our Planetary Pursuit points to earn the 10 souvenirs that are available. Next we wanted to get the new gorgeous GCCO coin, and finally we are working towards our 40,000 find BigSmile. Very nice hide, SL,TNLN

We replaced numerous caches that had numerous DNF's along with log and or containers that needed maintenance. There was also a nano container that we had to replace because we dropped the bottom of container and could not find it.

Day two of our weekend in Colorado Springs started with another early day even though we only had 32 caches left on our list. Again we encountered numerous caches with numerous DNF's and cache owners that appeared to be MIA. We replaced those caches that we knew had to be missing. There were some more difficult ones that we are just DNFing because we think they are still in place.

We did accomplish all the goals that we set for the weekend. We earned all of our Planetary Pursuit souvenirs, got our GCCO coin and hit 40,000 plus finds BigSmile. All during some beautiful spring weather, so a great weekend indeed.!!

Thank you RPieperCO for placing this cache for our enjoyment.
