I came up here today to grab a cluster of caches around expo park. This is the first one I looked for.
I found the container empty. But luckily I had extra logs with me. So I replaced the log and tucked the container next to the stump. TFTC!

Yippee! This was one I knew would be there, thanks for replacing it. I went to three other caches tonight but was running into disappointment either in the cache missing, poor location, or muggles. No disappointment here. I have a goal in the next few years to make it to Sagamore Hill in Oyster Bay, NY, which is Roosevelt’s home, and it has recently been refurbished.
I wanted to share my fav excerpt from his speech "Citizenship in a Republic" delivered at the Sorbonne, Paris on April 23, 1910, also known as "THE MAN IN THE ARENA."

It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.

I so wanted to find this one 'cause I love Theodore Roosevelt. I searched all nearby bushes, tree sprouts and stumps, but alas, I couldn't find it.

Found it, but it was open and log was gone. Made executive decision to move it 25 paces SE so it wouldn’t get opened again. Replaced log. Loved the description. Thanks!
