This is a challenge cache.  The cache is at the posted coordinates and is a 1.5/1.5.  The overall cache difficulty has been adjusted because of the challenge.  To claim a find you must sign the log and meet the requirements listed below.  You are welcome to sign the log at any time, post a note, and log your smiley once you verify the requirements are met.

 

It's kind of fun to think about how geocaching has evolved over the years.  How people innovate and change things up.  The challenge requirements:  Find 20 caches placed in each of 20 years, from 2001 through 2020.  So... 20 caches that were hidden in 2001, 20 caches hidden in 2002, 20 caches hidden in 2003, etc.  The grand total will be 400 cache finds.  I qualify for this challenge:  Find 20 caches for every year between 2001 and 2020" Qualifying 20 / 20, PASSED

Another one I'm close on, but still need 6 more finds from 2001 until I officially qualify. Gives me yet another goal to work towards!

I joined forces today with GeoDog74 as we hit up these challenges and some lonely caches out on the plains. I'm still short on 2001 caches. But hopefully will qualify before too long.

[FTF] 5-13-2023 at 6:11 pm. This one had been violated by recent storms. In fact, it was completely full of water. I dumped it and pulled a very dry log out of the baggy. After returning this one I mistakenly continually West on this road. Two problems - 2 dogs and an unmaintained road. The dogs ran circles around the Bronco which promptly bogged down in the mud. I dropped it into 4 wheel drive and the dogs lost interest when I started spraying mud everywhere. Ha! Great adventures today. All get fans. Here's proof that I qualify for the last one of the day:

Today was rough. I worked, but had to leave early with a migraine headache. After going home, taking medicine, and a 4 hour nap, I was mostly recovered. I headed to an event, then off to a powertrail of challenge caches. That was a blast involving rolling skies and powering through muddy roads. Afterward, I headed northwest and cached back into civilization. Another great day of caching in the books!
