This is a challenge cache.  The cache is at the posted coordinates and is a 1.5/1.5.  The overall cache difficulty has been adjusted because of the challenge.  To claim a find you must sign the log and meet the requirements listed below.  You are welcome to sign the log at any time, post a note, and log your smiley once you verify the requirements are met.

 

Hiking is one of my favorite things to do, and we have the perfect playground for it.  The challenge requirements:  Find 90 caches with one of the hiking attributes.  They are Short Hike, Medium Hike, Long Hike, and Significant Hike.  All cache types count, but caches with more than one hiking attribute only count once.  I qualify for this cache:  I have found 803 caches with hiking attributes.  The Project GC checker output line containing the link to your results will show you've qualified.  You do not need to copy all 90 cache records into your log!

WOO-HOO! Today's goal was a run "Out East" in search of Challenge Cache Gold! I hooked up with my good buddy Benji59 and we had a blast tag teaming a string of caches in the area. He navigated, I drove, and we both CITO'd....a lot! By the end of the day my back seat was completely filled with everything from Rose' and Merlot bottles, Coors, Bud Light, Coke, Pepsi, Fireball, and tons of Modelo cans. God forbid Barney Fife pulled us over, we might have some serious "Splaining" to do! We both would like to think the Farmers would appreciate it, and appease our Geocaching Overlords for future Caching success. This was another Challenge that I officially qualify for and humbly accept, earns a favorite from me. Thanks Lasouthpaw! TFTC

After using the challenge checker and discovering that GanderGoose had nine qualifying caches, Spartacus Geodog and I went for a ride on the plains. There was utter peace, beautiful vocalization of songbirds, and the nine caches. On the way back north, we saw a beautiful pronghorn couple on the road and passed by one cacher. Thanks for the placement, lasouthpaw!

Today was rough. I worked, but had to leave early with a migraine headache. After going home, taking medicine, and a 4 hour nap, I was mostly recovered. I headed to an event, then off to a powertrail of challenge caches. That was a blast involving rolling skies and powering through muddy roads. Afterward, I headed northwest and cached back into civilization. Another great day of caching in the books!
