Park History
The original park was built by the developer of the Waters Edge subdivision. It was dedicated to Foothills in the late 1980s. Jefferson County Open Space purchased the remainder of the park in 1992 and leased it to Foothills. It is interesting to note that the park was originally zoned for single family homes prior to the Open Space purchase.

Easton Regional Park is named after former Executive Director Robert Easton, a 31 year employee of the District who served as Executive Director from 1994 through 2007. The park was named after him in 2004 by resolution of the Board of Directors. Easton was instrumental in the initial acquisition of the property and securing funding for park development as well as funding for the facilities Peak Community & Wellness Center, Ridge Recreation Center and Edge Ice Arena.

I enjoyed wandering around a bit after work today to find some Geocaches including this one at 6:15 PM. It took me a few minutes to spot this one as it wasn’t where I first thought it might be. Thanks for the Geocache

Walked right up with no trouble this morning. I can see why the last cacher would have trouble in the snow.

Struck out on this one badly. A long and cold search in the snow. High and low, inside and out within 85 feet of GZ. No cache find. K7

We decided to spend the day caching in the south metro area, since we haven't been here in a while. Very nice hide, SL, TFTC
