I had planned to hike from the posted parking coords only to find that the Windy Saddle area was closed for renovation. I was a little disappointed but figured I visit here often enough I could return later. However, as I continued my drive, I found that I could park at the Lookout Mountain parking and still access this cache!
Enjoyed a mostly downhill hike to this cache with beautiful views along the way. Frequently heard the sound of hummingbirds flitting about along the way. Got to GZ and with the excellent hint, had the cache in hand in a matter of seconds. Seems the log has been wet in the past but completely dry at this time. Signed and returned as found. Thanks for keeping this old on alive. TFTC!

Headed this way because lasouthpaw wanted a cache for her D/T grid. I've learned any time she says "there's this challenge..." it's best to just nod and go along. We got a late start, but had a great hike out and back. Thanks for the cache!

I've been craving some time in the mountains and luckygecko is in town, so we headed over to Golden and the Beaver Brook Trail. We got here mid-afternoon and it was cloudy, but that was a good thing because it kept the temperature around 65 degrees. About a mile down the trail I realized I made a rookie mistake and forgot a pen. And we were just a little too far to go back and get one. Wouldn't you know it, we found a pencil just off the trail while we were looking for the first cache. If I had read the hint and the description we would have found this much sooner, but even so it didn't take too long. Thank you for keeping this oldie up and going and thanks for the smiley! Was in the area today, and finally got to go out to sign this cache! It has been on my list for a long time, as it fills in a square on my Jasmer grid. Thank you for maintaining this oldie!

Out hiking with Weatherman64 this fine morning. It was gorgeous and we had the mountain pretty much to ourselves! When we got close to gz, I began my search. I was bouncing around a little but soon had it narrowed down. I was so excited to find this old cache!! Thanks for hiding this cache and keeping it going for us!!!! IHN!!

Great hike! Thanks so much for placing this. Pine is definitely taller. We looked by the wrong tree for a while and thought we even saw geosigns but it was probably others like us hunting around. TFTC!

We were looking for a special cache for our 3700th find, so we decided to drive up to the Golden area to grab this oldie and fill in another spot on our Jasmer. Beautiful morning for some hiking and caching on this rocky trail. Good hide! Signed log and returned as found. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

Thanks for keeping this one active. I covered 6.68 miles on the Beaver Brook today. Glad I had Yaktracks, still quite frozen in parts.
