We pass by this pod while caching and love to stop. We look for turtles. They will dip into the water when they can sense you are looking at them. I am not sure of what kind of turtles they are but the Western Painted turtle is Colorado's official state reptile. If your binoculars are better than mine, please let me know what kind of turtles you see.
While placing this cache, frogs were in a nearby pond. We turned off the engine and soaked in the pleasant sounds found on the praires. We hope you enjoy this, also (not in the winter, though).

Its been a long hot summer in Texas, I've been trying to get out and do a caching trip a couple of times this summer, but it never worked out. Finally managed to get a week off, and am so happy to be out here in Colorado. The weather if perfect, and there is a load of caches that need my name on Smile Thanks so much for the hide imusttravel2000, I really enjoyed finiding this cache!
