Thanks a bunch to alpenist for totally rehabilitating this for me today!
Today was the last day of our pay period and I had already accumulated enough billable hours, so I was able to flex out. Thanks to my wonderful wife, who yesterday found out about the immunization drive that SCL Health has been holding in Boulder, I was able to get an appointment for my first Covid-19 vaccination. I chose a 9:40am appointment. This location is quite a bit north of me so I decided to make a day of it and get in some geocaching. I do early morning workouts Monday - Friday. So, after I got back from my workout and had something to eat I headed out early to start finding some caches before my appointment. As it turns out, the first cache I found (quite easily) was not in good working order and I ate up all my time unsuccessfully trying to get the combination to work. I sent out messages to the CO and a couple of previous finders and headed to my vaccination appointment. After the appointment, I left my car parked in the parking lot and went off on foot along the Coal Creek Trail. I continued for as long as I could until my phone charge was getting weak and then I made my way back to my car. As it turns out that was just about perfect timing for when my wife was going to get her first vaccination. She already had plans to have dinner with my MIL afterwards so I decided to join. Instead of waiting at the facility I decided to grab a few more caches before dinner. Fortunately, Alpenist was extremely kind and had completely rehabilitated that first cache during the day for me, even though it's not his! So, I got in the car and headed over to that cache to turn my frown upside down. Then I picked up a few more on my way over to my MIL's house.
I ended up logging 21 caches during the day. While I had planned to grab one or two mystery caches I had solved previously, that didn't end up being in the cards for me. But, I did get to see a really nice variety of containers and types of hides. Included in the mix were a couple of LPC's, one of which had a twist (no pun intended). My favorite cache of the day was a field puzzle cache that requires the finders to figure out how to open it. It had received a bit of rough treatment, and I did a repair job on it because I happened to have glue with me. On the car ride home, I swung by a virtual I had passed so many times before.

Revisited this cache when I got a request for help. The log is soaked and unsignable.
Added a log sheet and a zip lock. An added note, the hint may not be the same for all keyboards. It is set for a Samsung keyboard currently.

Found container but didn't matter how I fiddled with the combo.

Ending the day in a DNF. My phone GPS kept bouncing me around like crazy. I’ll try another day.

We tried every variation of the three digits and none opened the cache. Very disheartened.
Frowny face.

Well, we actually found it quickly. We just failed to open it. Pretty sure we got the clue, but no luck. We'll be back when we have more than a few minutes.

Out with DaWife on a pretty nice day looking for caches to get points towards the Planetary Pursuit. We haven't caches in this area for quite some time, so it was nice visiting the old stomping grounds. The real challenge here was getting the thing open, but after many tries, we succeeded. TFTC.

Been wanting to get back to this again since last time I found it couldn't get the right combo, but had a better idea this time and it worked! Lots of room in the log although a little raggedy. TFTH SL

Found pretty quickly, hadn't looked at cache page until at ground zero. Luckily we have internet, cache wasn't locked when found but returned locked. Thanks for the cache

TFTC Took me a while to figure out that the black (blank) ring needs to turn when the combination is entered to unlock the container. While I was at it I reset the combination to match the clue. Hope this doesn't offend anyone.

That was tougher than we thought, but that was us over thinking. Interesting placement, container, and clue! A LOT of grasshoppers lol
