Today I went on an expedition to the Arvada/North Golden area to grab geocaches with @2lablovers . They are great to cache with and are usually willing to join me at Sonic for a half price shake after we are done. We took a walk along the western edge of Blunn Reservoir and to get the caches along the trail. On our way back, at dusk, we heard an owl in the distance. I looked up and saw something silhouetted in the top of a dead tree. As we closed in, we saw that it was indeed the owl. We watched him watching us for a while. Tried to take a pic, but he was too far away in the darkness.
Based on the name, I was expecting a different type of container. The log was almost mush, but I didn't have a replacement. TFTC!

Log was dry, but seems like it was wet in the past. It's kind of crumbly and falling apart. A new log could be helpful for sure, but otherwise all is good here. Thanks!
